Albany Police Officer Shot During Traffic Stop
An Albany police officer was shot and injured early Wednesday morning during a shootout with a suspect following a traffic stop in the Pine Hills neighborhood, according to Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins. Sheehan emphasized that no one, especially a public servant performing their duty, should have to endure the trauma of such an incident. She pledged to do everything possible to ensure the officer’s speedy recovery and support those around him.
